You may remember Aly from some previous blog posts. She has modeled for me before and we also did her first senior session last fall. But...get to know her better - she's a peach!
What are your plans and dreams for the future?
I plan to go to Ivy Tech and get an Associates degree in Nursing and then follow up by getting a Bachelors degree at another college. My dream would be to get a nursing job that also allows me to travel and see the world while helping others.
What is it about life after high school that you are most looking forward to?
I am looking forward to leaving the drama of high school behind.
What home cooked food will you miss when you go to college?
Fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn.
What does a typical night out with friends involve?
Eating out, an ice cream or snow cone run, bonfire or hot tub time, playing pool or ping pong.
Do you volunteer your time anywhere?
During the school year I volunteered my time for Riley Dance Marathon (planning, fundraising and putting on the event). I also intern at IU Health/Ball Memorial Hospital through a school program called PCI. I am at the hospital every other day for roughly 2 hours "working"/gaining experience in the Labor & Delivery, NICU and Mother/Baby departments.
What happened on the best day of your senior year?
That would be the night of the Riley Dance Marathon when we surpassed our "shooting for the stars" fundraising goal. Everyone's planning and hard work paid off by allowing us to help others in a big way. I also received two individual awards that night which are very special to me.
Who are your role models and why?
My mom, because she shows me how to be a good mom, have good work ethics, and good organization skills; Mrs. Myrick (teacher in charge of Dance Marathon) because she is very caring and gives of her time for a worthy cause; and Kate & Kella (nurses at the hospital), because they are very passionate about what they do, explain things to me when I don't understand and inspire me to want to be a great nurse.
What do you want people to remember about you when they look back at your senior year?
I hope people remember me as a caring, giving person; someone who is a true friend.
At the time they're happening, you think you'll always remember those special moments. But the reality is that our memories fade with time. What I love about photography is that you can capture those special moments, occasions, fun times, adorable ages - and savor them for a long time to come...and I love to be the "saver" of those moments for others. Welcome to my blog. Thanks for letting me share my photography...my life...my thoughts. Please feel free to leave me your thoughts as well!

Cody - Class of 2013
You may have seen Cody on my blog before, because his first
senior photo session was last Fall.
Since then, he has finished his Senior year at Tipton High School
and has plans to start classes at Purdue-Calumet in August and play baseball
for them. Best of luck to you,
Cody! I’ll be keeping track of your
college career through your mom.

Engaged - Lauren and Vivek
Lauren and Vivek have been together for quite a while (their relationship began in high school), and it only takes a short time around them to see that they just "fit" together. Observing them together I got a feeling of mutual caring, admiration and respect. Besides all that, they're just the cutest couple!
I've known Lauren since she was...well, she was a kid...so it warms my heart to see that she's found her soulmate in Vivek.
Lauren and Vivek, thanks so much for choosing me to take your engagement photos. It was an honor and I had a great time spending the day with you!
Lauren you are the most adorable girl in this dress. Well, in anything, but especially in this dress.

Lindsey and Zack - engaged!
Besides their love for each other, Lindsey and Zack share a
love for the outdoors, especially the hills of Brown County where they'll be
getting married in October.
It feels a little weird to be writing a blog post about my
own daughter's engagement. And I'm not
sure I've really wrapped my head around the idea that she's actually getting
married in a few short months. But this
is not about me, so...
I followed Lindsey and Zack around one of their
favorite places to hike and hang out, documenting how they feel about just being
together. Here are some of my favorites.

Snow angels
At this point in the season, I'm hoping we've seen the last of the snow, especially since Spring will officially be here in 8 days!! (Mother Nature, you'd better get with the program). The snow did, however, make for some pretty scenery on this day when Lindsey and I took Jorga out to romp in it. My girls...they're so cute.
