Emily and Andrew are engaged!

Maybe it was the beautiful October sunlight...maybe it was 2 photogenic people who are in love and were comfortable in front of my camera...maybe I'm slightly biased because the subjects were my lovely, sweet niece, Emily, and her fiancĂ© Andrew...maybe it was Memphis.  Wait, we weren't in Memphis.  Whatever the reason, I'm so thrilled with the images from their engagement session that I had a VERY hard time narrowing it down to those you see here (which is more than I typically post).

Emily and Andrew, I'm honored to be capturing this oh so happy and exciting time in your lives!

Knowing Emily's love of reading, libraries, and the smell of old books, I thought we had to get some photos "in the stacks".  We got chased out by firefighters the first time we tried to enter the library, however.  They gave us the stink-eye for ignoring the very obvious, very loud fire alarm going off.

Emily, don't hate me for posting this one - I just think it's cute and shows how much fun you guys have together.

Em and Andrew, I had a great time with you guys and I'm so excited for your upcoming wedding!  Love you both.

Jessica & Matt - and Brantley on the way!

Jess and Matt were so excited to welcome their first baby into the world.  And these 2 are so sweet with each other, making it a pleasure to capture their love and excitement with my camera.  Life has thrown a few curve balls at Jess and Matt but they are determined to face it all together.
Jess and Matt, thank you for allowing me to document this very special time in your lives.  I believe you will have many wonderful, happy days ahead.

Post photo-shoot comment:  little Brantley was born at the end of September and is still in the hospital because of health problems.  He is expected to come home very soon, but if you're reading this you might say a little prayer for Brantley and his parents.

Baby Brantley

Babies grow and change so fast.  Isn't it great that we can preserve their early days with photography?!  I just love the thought that I was able to capture some images that will be viewed and treasured for many years.
Little Brantley is so adorable.  He's getting to be a big strong boy and he's starting to look like his daddy!  Blake, Camery, and Brantley - congratulations and blessings to you.  You have a very sweet little family.

Drew - Class of 2013

You may remember Drew from his first senior photo session last Fall…with the beautiful white dogs?  Not that you’re not memorable on your own, Drew, but y’know, those dogs are just attention-getters.

This past Spring, Drew lost his beloved friend and 4-H partner, Deuce, so we were fortunate to have taken photos of them together before that.  I know Drew will never forget the partnership he had with his buddy, Deuce.

Drew just graduated from Fisher’s High School and plans to attend Cedarville University in Ohio this August, studying Middle Education and French.  The French part is because he hopes to teach internationally.

Drew’s hero is his Grandpa Garwick, because he was both a family man and a man of God, and he taught Drew so much.

Drew also keeps a special place in his heart for his cousin, Nick, who passed away 6 years ago.  Nick and Drew were the same age, so Drew has found ways to carry Nick with him through all the significant events of his life.

Best wishes, Drew, as you embark on this exciting phase of your life!
