Emily and Andrew are married!

Emily and Andrew's wedding, as beautiful as it was on it's own merit, was extra special to me because they're family and near and dear to my heart.  And because I know them and I know how perfect they are for each other, it just felt right for them to get married.  Their pastor said it best in his message to them...something to the effect that because he knows them well and knows the faith they both have, he has every confidence that theirs will be a successful and lasting marriage.
Emily and Andrew, I'm so happy for you both!  Thank you for allowing me the honor of photographing your special day.  It was a beautiful and happy event, for sure.

I've always been envious of Emily's peaches & cream complexion, but she was especially radiant on this day...smiling from the inside out.

Emily and Andrew chose to have their first look on the walking bridge at the train station in Lafayette.  They were so cute - both couldn't wait to see the other.  They also couldn't wait to wrap their arms around each other, which could have been partially due to the freezing temperatures, but I don't think so.

Emily and I were concerned about it being a little drab to take photos outside (the month of March can be pretty dreary in Indiana), but Andrew did some location scouting and this historic home turned out to be a great backdrop for bridal party photos.  Good job, Andrew!

Aren't these girls all beautiful?!  Emily joked that that is why she chose them for her bridesmaids.

Thank you to my assistant, Tom Hall, for grabbing this shot of the handsome groom.

Mr. and Mrs. Pohl!

Emily and her mom spent many, many hours searching for and putting together just the right elements for each table's centerpiece.  Their hard work was evident as the whole ballroom looked just beautiful and all the attention to details showed.

What a fun night!  I kinda wish we could do it again.

Welcome back from Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Pohl!  Thank you again for choosing me to preserve your big day in photographs.  I love you both and I wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and abundant blessings!

Emily and Andrew- a sneak peek

They're most likely enjoying the last day of their honeymoon right now.  Because they probably don't have internet access, I'm waiting until Emily and Andrew return home to post the big group of photos from their wedding.  But here's a sneak peek at one of my favorite images from their big day.

Aaron and Sarah are married!

Sarah and Aaron have been a “couple” for quite a few years already, so in many ways this day has been a long time in the making.  However, when THE DAY actually arrived, time seemed to just fly by!  Funny how that happens, isn’t it?  But it was an exciting and special day for sure... one that I was honored to photograph.

The day began with preparations at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis, a beautiful place with amazing views out of every window.  The contemporary design of it fit Sarah and Aaron’s style perfectly.

I got tickled at Aaron trying to keep up with the “How to tie a bow tie” video he had playing on his smartphone.  But he got it done and what a handsome groom he proved to be.

Their first look came about as Sarah came up the escalator and into view.

Wow, Sarah!  What a beautiful bride you made!

From downtown Indy we moved to their wedding venue, the Mill Top in Noblesville.  The Mill Top is a refurbished flour mill, and is just a lovely place with so much character and personality.

Really Sarah?  You bring the phrase "radiant bride" to life here.

I think they're happy to be married, what do you think?

Their beautiful cake was designed and made by my friend (and theirs), Deanna Pitzer.

Friends and family were having so much fun on the dance floor...and then it got even better when the father of the bride (on the right), busted out some moves!!  I had trouble getting the camera to focus on him, he was moving so fast! Great job, Steve!

Sarah and Aaron, I wish you all the best as you begin your new life together in Chicago!   Thank you again for allowing me the honor of capturing this most special day in your lives…the beginning of your forever!

Pence families

You can tell at first glance of these photos that they weren't taken real recently (what I'd give to have weather like this right now!), but there's a legit reason why I'm just now posting them on my blog.  These Pence siblings and their little family units wanted to surprise their parents with some of the images from this photo shoot as a Christmas gift, so I had to wait in order to not spoil the surprise.  And it killed me to put a few of the kiddo's photos on hold - they were so cute.

Miss Kaydence and her mom - 2 pretty girls!

Brantley isn't too crazy about being hugged right now.

Those ears and that toothless smile...just makes me grin every time I look at the image on the right.

This little guy - I just wanna eat him up!

Lyndsi, Kaydence, Blake, Camery, and Brantley - thanks for another opportunity to capture these moments in the lives of your adorable families.

Baby Brantley - he's loved to pieces

I had to borrow Brantley's momma's line for the title of this post - it was so cute and so appropriate as a caption for this collage. Jess requested a collage of Brantley's adorable "parts" and here it is!

Little Brantley had a bit of a rough start to life, but is now a happy, healthy, adorable baby who is loved to pieces by his family.
