Lindsey & Matt - Married!

Lindsey and Matt's big day dawned bright and beautiful.  You seriously could not have asked for a more perfect day for a wedding.  Which was really fitting for 2 such lovely people as Lindsey and Matt starting their life together!  It was a day filled with excitement, happiness, love, and warm-hearted support from family and friends who couldn’t wait to see Lindsey and Matt tie that knot.  It’s always an honor to capture photos of a couple’s most important day, but it’s extra-special when you can just feel that they are meant to be together…something I felt right away with these two.

Lindsey’s mom, Cindy, is a good friend of mine, so I’ve known for a while now how happy she was about this union.  Having recently been a mother-of-the-bride myself, I know the mix of emotions that come over you on your daughter’s wedding day.  Cindy, you were the picture of calm and grace all day long.  I love this image of beautiful mother and daughter.

Lindsey chose to have a first look with her dad, which turned out to be one of the most touching moments of the day.  His reaction to seeing his beautiful daughter as a bride was priceless.

…which is no surprise since this is what he saw as he came around the corner.

Matt was getting ready in the other end of the building and was so excited to get this day underway.

Matt and his brothers have a very tight bond, but they adore Lindsey too and could not be happier for their brother.

Lindsey and Matt, it was a pleasure and an honor to photograph your big day.  I know you’re having a wonderful time in Hawaii and I pray that your life together will be filled with God’s richest blessings.  I’m confident that God has big plans to carry out both for you and through you.

Little girls, little girls

My friends have 5 granddaughters (they were recently blessed with a grandson as well, but he won't be making an appearance on the blog just yet), all of whom live FAR away.  As in, Florida and Alaska - that kind of far away.  So you can imagine that it' a very special time when they get to visit their grandparents.  I was honored to be asked to preserve the memory of their visits through photographs, and it was just a pleasure because these girls are so sweet and precious.  Enjoy some of my favorites.

Brantley is 1 year old!

There is something about little Brantley that just captivates me and makes me want to squeeze him to pieces.  It's probably those big, round, beautiful blue eyes.  Keeping up with him on the playground was a bit of a challenge but I had fun following him around and capturing these images.  I'm betting when you look at them, you'll want to reach in and pinch those chubby cheeks.  Happy 1st birthday, Brantley!
