Lindsey and Zack - engaged!

Besides their love for each other, Lindsey and Zack share a love for the outdoors, especially the hills of Brown County where they'll be getting married in October.
It feels a little weird to be writing a blog post about my own daughter's engagement.  And I'm not sure I've really wrapped my head around the idea that she's actually getting married in a few short months.  But this is not about me, so...
I followed Lindsey and Zack around one of their favorite places to hike and hang out, documenting how they feel about just being together.  Here are some of my favorites.

Snow angels

At this point in the season, I'm hoping we've seen the last of the snow, especially since Spring will officially be here in 8 days!!  (Mother Nature, you'd better get with the program).  The snow did, however, make for some pretty scenery on this day when Lindsey and I took Jorga out to romp in it. My girls...they're so cute.

The Wind Farm

Prehistoric insect?  Space communication device?  I can't decide what the windmills look like, but each day as I pass this wind farm, I have to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road because they just kinda mesmerize me.  Of course, not every evening boasts a sunset like this, which could be mesmerizing in itself.  I've been carrying my camera to work for several days now, hoping to catch the perfect time to photograph the windmills...one evening last week was it!

Over the river and through the woods

We spent part of our family Christmas day tromping through my grandparents' woods.  It was so peaceful and beautiful.  Well, I'll let the photos do the talking...

The Estle Family

I knew what was meant by the "golden hour", but had never seen it quite as golden as the evening of this photo shoot with the Estles.  The light was so warm and glowy.  I wanted to freeze that moment in time.  Of course I couldn't do that but we were in the right place to take advantage of it.  This session was even more enjoyable because it's my niece and her beautiful family.  We're comfortable with each other and they're all very photogenic. You've seen them on my blog before but isn't it fun to see how they're changing.  Mason and Elise are growing up fast!
I can't freeze the sun as it's setting and I can't freeze the kids as they're growing, but at least I can freeze these moments in photos.  Love that!
Justin, Erin, Mason and Elise...I love you guys!
